The 2nd annual TCRP Summer Bash was an incredible success!

We had 413 guests (!) attend this special event, held at the beautiful TDS Exotic Game Ranch. I want to personally thank the Gregory family for their tremendous generosity.

Our headliner, bestselling author and filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza gave a captivating and fascinating speech and received a long and enthusiastic standing ovation when he finished. He then graciously stayed to personalize the 140 books that we sold to our guests.

We were honored to have many elected officials in attendance, including State Sen. Donna Campbell (R-New Braunfels), State Rep. Paul Workman (R-Austin), 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals Justices David Puryear and Melissa Goodwin, Sunset Valley City Council Member Rudi Rosengarten, Burnet County Judge James Oakley and Bastrop County GOP chair Diane Greenwood.

We enjoyed welcoming many Republican candidates, including 3rd Court of Appeals nominee Mike Toth, Austin City Council candidate Frank Ward and AISD Board, District 9 candidate Sam Russo.

This event would not have been possible without the generosity, vision, and hard work of our event chair, Cornelia Wood. We deeply appreciate her!

No one worked harder to pull all of the elements together for this complicated event than TCRP Deputy Executive Director Lauren Day, who managed the sponsorships and event logistics with her typical professionalism and precision.

TCRP Executive Director Gary Teal provided crucial assistance on a range of tasks, particularly at the end, to ensure that vendors got paid, name tags were printed and organized and supplies were delivered to the venue.

TCRP Communications Director Andy Hogue was a big help as well, particularly with email marketing and the powerpoint that played during the event. His wife, Katrina Hogue, treated us to a rousing rendition of the National Anthem!

And a special shout-out to our team of hardworking volunteers who rolled up their sleeves who include: Bob Green, Sandy Cox, Deborah Penn, Rachel Malone, David & Jan Duncan, Jerri Lynn Ward, Madison Pakenham, Will Lutz, Jennifer Drabbant, Brian Schwagel, Mike Rodriguez, and Mary Heffernan.

We had many generous sponsors for this event, and we deeply appreciate their support.

Gold Sponsors: John and Cornelia Wood, Senox Corporation, Texas Disposal Systems, Bill Krumpack & Amelia Bullock and Andrea and MaryAnn Heller.

Silver sponsors: Kent & Elise Grusendorf.

Bronze sponsors: Concerned Parents of Texas, Texas Values, Pressley Strategies and Texans for Greg Abbott.

We would not have been able to pull this off without the dedication and sacrifice of so many volunteers. Thank you for helping us in this special way.

Our goal with this event was to offer an affordable evening for a large crowd, to fire up Republicans ahead of the midterms.

By any measure, we succeeded. Thank you all!

Matt Mackowiak
Travis County GOP chairman
