Do I have to e-mail Putin to find out about the candidates???
  • commented 2018-03-05 08:59:34 -0600
Andy…like Rick & Bob…I am shocked there is so little information on the 2018 Republican candidates. I have already spent many HOURS searching the web for any information for each candidate so I could make an educated decision. The suggestion below for FreeVotersGuide.com helped some but didn’t cover all the candidates on my specific ballot. I know you said there will be more information in November but that doesn’t help voting in the right person FOR the November election. How are we going to defeat the Democrats if there is no information to make a decision? I guess my only option is to leave blank the races that I couldn’t find information since I would rather not vote for anyone…rather than vote the wrong person in according to my beliefs.

Rick, Bob, not even the League of Women Voters had their guide out until a few days prior to early voting! We have provided links to that voters guide, as well as FreeVotersGuide.com (friendly to our positions) on this page.

As for candidate bios we’ll do better next time. Those who win the primary will most certainly be featured in full as we go on to defeat the Democrats in the general election in November.

    Thank you for your input.

    Hi,

Most voters )including me) have no idea whom most of the candidates are on the Republican primary ballot each election cycle.

That you don’t supply candidates’ bios and positions on the major issues facing Travis County Republican voters is beyond irresponsible.

Even Marxist California supplies their voters with candidates’ positions on the issues.

A 49-cent stamp along with a form sent to each Republican primary candidate and the returned responses posted to this web site would be a HUGE benefit to those of us who actually want to know where candidates stand before we cast a primary vote.

If you are politically involved enough to be part of the Travis County Republican Party apparatus, surely you care enough to provide Republican voters with the bios and positions of the various candidates.

    Right . . . ?

It would be great if we could get bios/background/previous work experience on the candidates in contested races…so we can become “educated consumers of political and judicial services.” Thanks.
